25,000 Mornings

The average human has 25,000 or so days on earth.  Wow !  Yes 25,000.  Thinking of life in those terms, finite days, hours, and minutes can really put things into perspective.  When one thinks of the passing of time in those terms, you  can really begin to cherish each moment, each interaction.  Imagine, you could be two weeks from the day when your allotted number of days is over.  Morbid thought I know, but there are people out there who are actually living that day, right now.

Before death takes away what  you are  given, give away what  there is to give.   Rumi

I have so far completed 19, 642 days on this earth,  and being of average humaness, that leaves me 15 years, 765 weeks, 5358 days and 7,715,520 minutes.  I want to  see all the sunrises and sunsets that I can find, I want to see all the beautiful places there are in the world and stand quietly there, just taking it all in.  I want to give of my self anonymously and revel in the joy of giving.  I will strive to be in the moment each day, being present with each person that I meet.  I will revel in rainy, snuggly, warm soup days, and  put on my Wellies and stomp in the puddles.  I will eat veggies every day, but I will never turn my back on a hot, melty, grilled cheese sandwich.  I will hug and kiss my love throughout each day, and hold him fast at night.  I will be thankful each time I walk into a grocery store to buy food, knowing there are others who struggle to do so.  I will remember each time I tie up my running shoes, or jump on my bike to ride that I am blessed to have limbs that work and health that allows me to do so.  I will always remember, daily, that our time is finite, our lives are what we make them, and the choice is ours.

What do you choose ?

What a beautiful post Anna! I feel lucky that in those measurable moments we have the blessing to meet, and in an honest and genuinely way you showed the unique woman you are. Love the pictures too!
